By creating an account, making a booking, or listing as a property, agency, creator, or service provider on Travla, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use Travla.
Travla is a marketplace connecting travellers with properties, travel agencies, creators, and service providers across Africa. The accommodation, trip, or service you book is provided by the property, agency, creator, or service provider you booked, not by Travla directly. Travla facilitates the booking, payment, and communication between both parties.
When you book a package, you pay the full amount to Travla in one transaction, in NGN, GBP, or USD, processed securely through Paystack or Stripe. A confirmation email is sent the moment your payment is confirmed, with your booking reference and a summary of what you paid. Travla does not store your card details.
If you cancel a booking, your refund depends on how far in advance you cancel, relative to your trip's start date:
Refunds are issued back to your original payment method.
Some packages are shared by creators through a referral link. Booking through a creator's link never changes the price you pay. It means that creator earns a share of the platform's commission for introducing you to the trip, paid by the property or agency, not added to your cost.
Travla charges properties, agencies, and service providers a 15.5% commission on the value of each booking. The remainder is paid out to the property or agency Net 7 days after the trip is completed, free of charge, or within 48 hours through the optional Fast Pay service for a 2% fee. Payout amounts are always calculated on the amount actually retained after any refund.
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login credentials secure. Information you provide, including lead guest and contact details, must be accurate so your booking can be honoured without issues at check-in.
You agree not to use Travla for any fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purpose, including submitting false booking or payment information, or attempting to circumvent the platform to transact directly with a property, agency, creator, or service provider you found through Travla.
Travla is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or the quality of accommodation or services provided by the independent properties, agencies, creators, and service providers listed on the platform. Any dispute about the trip or service itself should first be raised through Travla support, who can involve the listed partner directly.
Travla may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves. Continuing to use Travla after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
